Report on Homelessness

The report I've prepared on homelessness as a research assistant at the Institute for the Prevention of Crime is finally available online! It is titled Homelessness, Victimization and Crime: Knowledge and Actionable Recommendations.

The report brings together information on how victimization contributes to homelessness, and ways that homeless people typically come into contact with the criminal justice system. We then conducted interviews with shelters, academics, and community groups in eight Canadian cities from Vancouver to Halifax to develop a list of practical recommendations for municipal, provincial and federal levels of government.

If you are interested, have a peek by clicking on the photo of the report.

Congratulations Ben!

Looks like you put a lot of work into this report. I read through the intro... there's a lot to learn from a resource like this.

Great work Ben. I'm sure this is the first of many influential documents in Canada and around the world. Praise God.

I'm definately playing catchup - I don't even have any data for a paper yet! My supervisor wants me to present at a conference in San Francisco in October though - well scared!!

And there's even some in French - I'm glad I only have to write in English.

Congratulations to Maryann on the job front too :)

God bless,
