Ahh! Winter is such a glorious time of year. For two weeks every year Ottawa hosts the Winterlude festival. There is an international snow and ice sculpting competitions, there are free outdoor concerts in the -20 C weather, skating on the Rideau canal, beaver tails, and free hot chocolate. It's wonderful. This year Maryann's brother Jay and his fiancé Michelle came up to visit us in Ottawa for Winterlude. Here are some photos of the ice and snow sculptures:
