Hallowe'en 2010

Isaac had an atypical first Hallowe'en. At 3 in the afternoon on Hallowe'en Day, I decided I wanted to carve a pumpkin. No planning ahead. We drove to five different grocery stores and all of them were sold out of pumpkins... of course. At our last stop, I went to the squash section out of desperation and found a big orange Mother Hubbard squash. It was perfect - I carved it and stuck a flashlight in the bottom on our porch.

We took Isaac around to four neighbours. We told them it was backwards trick or treating and gave them fresh banana bread. They all insisted on giving us candy even though Isaac's too small... we didn't object.

Nana and Papa stopped by with Aunt Sherry and then we headed over to Jon and Janie's for their annual Hallowe'en Party.
